The new recruiting ad for the US Air Force puts the focus on:
- cyberwar and
- 3 million cyber threats every day (if you wonder how the US Air Force got this number).
Incidentally, You Tube got a DMCA take down note from the Air Force’s lawyers demanding it take down the video. The lawyers were claiming copyright infrignment even though U.S. Government works are not even copyrightable.

Nonetheless, the US Air Force’s privacy policy states:
- Information presented on the Air Force Recruiting website is considered public information and may be distributed or copied.
This is the video version, they published it as a full-page ad in the WashPost and NYTimes as well.
18 states vie for Cyber Command headquarters
With billions of dollars in contracts and millions in local spending on the line, states are vying to win the Cyber Command, throwing in offers of land, academic and research tie-ins, and, in one case, an $11 million building with a moat.
